Wee Cumbrae's New Owners

by June Allison

The Library is hosting a talk on the Wee Cumbrae by John Steele on Thursday 27th August 3-5.pm in the Garrison Resource Room.

It seems that Mrs. Sunita Poddar new owner of the Wee Cumbrae will also be along to the talk.

 All welcome.

Margaret Ann Hughes says

I wonder if anything was said by Mrs Poddar about the dedicating of Wee Cumbrae on 27 September by the Guru Swami Ramdev. Rumour has it 600 Indians will be visiting Wee Cumbrae in the renaming to "Peace Island".

Peace Island at the September weekend - sounds good!

Hmnn, I'll keep an eye out for him - and the 600 Indians. Hope they're going to spend some money on Cumbrae first - boost tourism and all that!!
