Thanks for Millport's newest clock at Garrison House from CCDC

The Board of Cumbrae Community Development Company (CCDC) would like to take this opportunity of thanking Maria Kelly for her kind donation of the Clock now installed at Garrison House.

The original clock had been greatly missed and has now been replaced for the town by Maria in loving memory of her husband Dennis. Dennis was a true local man born on the island which he greatly loved. He was known by all and the Clock is a fitting tribute to his life and work.

We hope Maria will take comfort from the knowledge that whenever we glance up at the Clock to check the time, that we will remember Dennis and her kind gift in his memory.

It is great to have a clock on the front of the Garrison again and whilst I greatly welcome it I am sad that we had to lose Dennis to get it.  He was a great guy.
