Sunken Garden Vandalised

The phantom poster vandal strikes again! Two of the 'palm trees' in the beautiful sunken garden in front of the Garrison are now adorned with ugly A4 size posters warning of the dangers of garden ponds. Is this yet another instance of some H&S rules being inappropriately applied? I do appreciate that ponds can be a source of danger but it is up to parents to safeguard their young children – or have I got it wrong and the notices are aimed at the young kids who are too young to read?

Come on CCDC don’t despoil a very attractive and well maintained garden with inappropriate signage.

Hi Charlie - although on CCDC Board I know nothing about these and agree they are rather large - although it may be that Public Liability Insurance insists that signs are put up - I'll find out.

One thing though - this is a Garrison House Company Ltd. matter - not CCDC. and I am not on the Board of GHCL so I can ask but that is all

. Incidentally when i worked in the Garrison I could see right over the ponds and some of the behaviour I witnessed around them was not at all appropriate.

However, CCDC or GHCL are all open to suggestion - and yes - isn't getting rid of the mounds a great improvement? Well done to all involved.

I totally agree with you on this one Charles but I wouldn't stop at these two notices - remove all of the notices in the Garrison!

someone obviously has a sign fetish!! signs are totally ruining the Garrison, I think a phantom sign remover may appear soon!!
