The guys who provided the padellas and the magnificent bonfire were back on the Eillans at 8.00am this morning to clear up - well done guys.  I didn't get to see any of todays festivities, I'm getting past it, but Anne and the grandchildren had another great day.  Isn't Millport a fantastic place to see and to visit?

Was an amazing weekend! Brilliant atmosphere and loads to do for the kids. The Eileans display was absolutely stunning and the fireworks immense! Well done to IOCTA and to Susan and all!

All of us at CCDC would also like to thank everyone who worked so hard to produce such a fabulous weekend to be enjoyed by all, and are grateful to Sandy for reminding us just how much work is put in by our island volunteers.

The island would be a poorer place if it wasn't for the army of volunteers who work so hard - often without recognition - for the good of the community.

Thanks and well done - we couldn't do without you!

Just had to add a huge congratulations to all involved in making this September weekend memorable!!  Eileans stunning and the amount of work it must have taken to set that all up AND then be back first thing on Sunday to clear up.  Fireworks display fantastic and lots of entertainment for the children - cant remember the last time I saw so many people on Newton sands! WELL DONE ALL.

It was a great weekend as always, and a HUGE Thank You should go to all the people who worked so hard actually getting the bonfire, lighting display and fireworks set up on the Eilans, and to the people who went to such a lot of effort providing entertainment in the streets on Saturday night. Such great community spirit, nothing to beat it

I would like to add to the September weekend comments.Jimmy and I had so many compliments on the additions to the Garrison funfair attractions. The cups and saucer ride and the Chair-o-Planes were a great success. We lost count of the people asking if they were coming back next year.

Unfortunately we do not own them, but we will try to bring somthing new to the Island next year. Well done to the person or persons who decorated the Eileans it looked great.

Window displays up to the usual standard, but a shame that Jim Thomson didnt receive a mention for his shop display 'Para -Limb - Pics', taking a wry look at his own misfortune. Nice one Jim!!
