More than a dozen teams made a splash at the Millport raft race as part of the Sail and Oar Festival - racing their craft from Kames Bay to the harbour in front of big crowds.
Raft race organiser Gillian Docherty said: "What a great weekend. Thank you to all the rafters who took part in the race and all the spectators who came along to support them and cheer them on. The winning raft was 'The Tav' aka The Tavern Bar, the best dressed raft was 'Blue Hawaii' aka Lady Margaret Hospital Staff and the last raft to finish and winners of the wooden spoon was 'Castaways'.
"Thank you to all who supported the raft race including The Royal George Hotel for help with the application forms, hosting the raft race disco and providing the bottle for throw the coin at the bottle.
"Thanks to Stewart Cape of Escape Promotions who compered the race and provided music during the raft race and at the disco. Thanks also to Cumbrae Watersports Centre for providing on the water safety cover and to all the businesses who donated raffle prizes.
"We managed to raise the great sum of £684 between the raft race and disco which will be donated to Millport Parent/Carer and Toddler Group."
For the record, s1millport's team finished fourth - many thanks to Lucy Dawson, Ailsa Hamilton, Rhona MacGregor and Gillian Sneddon for taking part and making up the s1 crew.
