2/7/2009Photos from Cumbrae: Crown Princess, the biggest cruise vessel to visit the Clyde
Conway MacCulloch says:
Here are a couple of shots of the Crown Princess which can carry 3,080 passengers and 1,200 crew and made the first of four calls at the Ocean Terminal this summer.
Anyone who missed her yesterday has the chance to see her again as she is doing 12 day trips round the British Isles.
This 113,000-tonne ship breaks the record for the biggest cruise vessel to visit the Clyde, but will lose this title in October when the Queen Mary 2 arrives, she is 148,000-tonne.
The second shot is of her passing up river at 6:00 yesterday morning and the first is of her offloading the pilot on her way out at 20:30 last night.
