Garrison traffic

Permission has been given by NAC, subject to a commonsense condition, to reopen the pedestrian archway at the College Street entrance to the Garrison.  I hope that this means that the drive through can now be stopped - I'm getting fed up dodging speeding cars!

Sandy, thanks for the information. What is the 'common sense condition? Wasn't the oneway system abandoned some time ago and the signs removed?

Thanks for the link Sandy. NAC require to see details of how the work is to be carried out prior to it beginning. This is to ensure the appearance of the Archway is maintained in accordance with its litsed status. As you say, common sense. Presumaby CCDC will provide NAC with the required information immediately to allow the work to proceed quickly. Lets hope it doesn't take another 6 months.
