"Fireman's Party"

by Douglas McArthur

Thanks to all the kids who attended the "Fireman's Party" on Friday the 5th of March in the town hall your good behaviour helped everyone enjoy the event to the full. All of the crew at Millport fire station would also like to thank Sandy Wright for running the bus and Lesley Cunningham for help with "Tigger and Sylvester".

A huge thank you also has got to go to Eddie and Margaret Hughes the staff and patrons of the Kelburn Bar for their donation from the charity bottle on the bar which paid for this year's party. We hope you all enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you again next year.

I didn't make it this time - I think the first one I attended was before you were born! Big thanks though to all who made it work - my grandson had a brilliant time.

Kerry Cassells says

A great big "Thank you" to all involved in the organising and supervising of this party.
My kids loved travelling in the bus, dancing and having fun with their friends, and all without boring Mum and Dad watching!
They had a great time, and we really appreciate all the hard work you all put in.
Thanks once again,
Kerry
