Cumbrae Skiff

The Skiff and all of its rowers had a most fantastic day today although the weather did help!

The Cumbrae Olympic rowers did a fantastic job and rowed round the Wee Cumbrae in 1 hour and 55 minutes - a new world record.  When they returned they were awrded their gold medals which were well deserved.  Thanks to all involved and particularly to the support and rescue craft who went with them on their arduous voyage.

Chris - would they have looked any better in grass skirts?

David - I know it was a good fundraiser although I don't know how much but the skiff will remain on Cumbrae.  Perhaps Emma or Lesley can enlighten us?
