COUNTRY & WESTERN FESTIVAL 3-5 SEPT.2010

The 16th Annual Millport Country & Western Festival takes place from 3 to 5 September and The Festival Group are hoping that, as in previous years, the community and businesses will continue with their generous support both financially and physically.  We are seeking participants from all residents, groups, associations, clubs etc for the Grand Parade which will see the return of the Stagecoach and horses and of course the Harleys.  Andrea is in charge of the Parade this year and if anyone is interested in acting as Stewards please contact her, plus if you  would like to help with "bucket collecting" please contact Eleanor Newton. 

Dressing the Town - following the wonderful atmosphere and buzz of the Gal Gael we invite businesses and residents alike to dust down their signs and frontages and start putting them up.  If you require any assistance in the erecting and/or repair or renewal of signs please contact us - Robert at the Newton, Bill at the Ambler, Andrea at Gifts, Margaret Hughes at Robert Duffs and we will arrange for our very own "Handy Mannie", Doug to get in touch with you!  Finally, the Festival Group thank you in anticipation of  your support and contribution, to what we are sure will be another successful weekend for the Island
