CCDC members meet Barrrowmans at signing of Millport book

Members of the Cumbrae Commuity Development Company have met with John Barrowman and his sister Carole, at a signing of their new book set in Millport.
June Allison reports:
Today we met with John and Carole Barrowman at their Waterstones signing which was extremely busy, so we were lucky to be able to see them before they began their marathon task.
We were happy to be able to present them with photographs of the jetty on Cumbrae which seemed to be very much in keeping with the book “Hollow Earth” which is based here on the island.
John and Carole were kind enough to sign books for us – one in particular for all the people of Cumbrae, which will be on display in the Garrison along with some copies of the book for purchase.

We truly believe that John and Carole’s book will put Cumbrae firmly on the map for all readers and hope, in the event, of a television series that some of the filming may come to the island.
