Jenny Orr

by Irene D. Wright

Anyone have any info on a Jenny Orr who lived in Guilford street.Jenny opened her home to my husband and I while on a visit home to trace my family "The Neils" who lived in Chriton st.My Mother was raised in Millport and while talking to Mrs Orr at the Garrison (before it burned down) directed me to a few school pictures and I found a Cumbrae school picture with my Mother Mary Neil and Isabella Neil. does Millport have marriage, births and death information? I lost touch with Jenny she was so kind. My Aunt lived in Millport with her husband Sandy Campbell who had row boats and as a child I remember "The Crock"  I have lots of memories. Thank You.

Hi Jenny Orr died a few years ago. Her relative Campbell McLachlan is still living in Millport with his family.

Thank you Alisa for the reply as to the where abouts of my dear friend Jenny Orr. I was sad to hear of Jenny's  death. I would like very much to get in touch with her relative Campbell McLachlan,do you know where I could get an address? I am not on Facebook. I think that might be her brother and if so I met him at Jenny's along with Mr. Mrs Mac Farlane who live in West Bay Millport.God Bless and thank you again. Irene.

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
