CUMBRAE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
Following on from the recent AGM and Board Meeting of the Cumbrae Community Development Company we can now announce the new Directors of each of the companies which operate under the umbrella of CCDC. CCDC is the body responsible for the delivery of the Development Plan which is at the moment dealing with such matters as the West Bay Sports Pavilion, Step Ashore Facilities at the Pier and trying to source funding for other projects in the pipeline.
Garrison House (Cumbrae) Ltd. Is the company responsible for Garrison House and the grounds that lay within the curtilage of the Garrison walls.
Millport Holiday Apartments Ltd. (formerly Cumbrae Holiday Apartments Ltd.) is the company responsible for the running and upkeep of the 9 holiday apartments gifted to CCDC by the former friendly society. The apartments are at Quayhead and Cardiff Street. These are run as a business with any profits being used for the good of the community as a whole.

One excellent piece of news is that last week CCDC achieved Planning Permission for the West Bay project, but more importantly, that Argyll & Bute LEADER approved the 50% funding application for the West Bay Regeneration Project.
CCDC Communications Officers are Emma Jane Newton and June Allison and will try to keep you informed of what is happening with the three companies, but please feel free to approach any Director with any query and we'll do our best to explain what is happening.
CCDC would like to invite all "Friends of Millport" with island connection to join CCDC as Associate Members. The cost of £5 per year and forms can be had from the Garrison Office 01475 531381. You can attend all AGMs and EGMs but do not have a vote. Please come along and join us.
