Cumbrae Community Council
Meetings are held 6pm on the first Monday of every month in the computer suite in the Town Hall.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
If you would like anything to be discussed, please let us know either by letter or e-mail and we will make sure it is put on the agenda.

Minutes of Meeting held on Monday 10th January in the Computer Suite of the Town Hall
Present; M.Smith, Chairperson, C. MacCulloch, Secretary,
R. Griffin, Treasurer, R. Baxter, Councillor A. Hill and a
4-person deputation from Magnox North Hunterston A.
Apologies; R. Liddell.
Matters Arising; No matters arising.
Correspondence; A letter from T. McInally re the proposed application notice to alter the Hunterston Construction Yard at Hunterston.
A detailed explanation of the project is to be given to the community at the March meeting of C.C.C.
A planning application for erection of garages, covered store and garden shed to be at 16-18 Provost Loan Millport.
An application for change of use from shop to dwelling house at 9 Kelburn St. Millport. The C.C.C. members objected to this, as it had not been up for sale in the past.
Councillors Report; Councillor Hill discussed numerous points of problems regarding roads, pavements, golf road and other problems.
The secretary to write to N.A.C. and ask if someone from the road department would come to the Island and inspect the problems.
Police Report; No police present.
A.O.C.B.; Mr P. Roach gave a very detailed explanation of how it is hoped to dispose of the rod at Hunterston if the Government approve of the plan.
The hall heating had been switched off again for the 2nd time at the monthly meetings. A strong complaint has been lodge with Mr. J. Leckie, hall convenor.
